Black vs. Silver

Attention Tanner Family...

This weekend is our game against each other.  We want to wish all players good luck.  Remember that win or lose, we are all one family.  Let's have a great day and have some fun.

To all parents and guardians, the concession stand is accepting donations of food and drink to be sold at the games.  Let's spend the day at the field and support all levels of teams and cheerleaders and the league itself by having breakfast and lunch there.  (Items we would appreciate you donating are: Cases of Water, Chips, Popcorn, Candy, Soda and any other store bought items.  Due to food allergies, please no home cooked foods will be accepted or sold.)

Thank you all for your continued support and hope to see you there!

Peabody 100 Year Parade
Sep 28, 2016, 8:44 am

We the Peabody Youth Football and Cheering League have been asked to participate in Peabody's 100 year parade. Due to the amount of players and cheerleaders we have, the Board along with the City has decided that the only players and cheerleaders who will be walking in the parade will be the 8th Graders.  We would like eveyone else that is going to the parade is to wear their practice shirts in order to fly our colors.

Also,  the float will be decorated on Saturday after the games at the field behind the concession stand.  We would like every team of football players and cheerleaders to make a poster that we can attach to the float with names, or numbers or pictures or anything else you would like to put on the poster.  (Please see Jacqui for poster boards etc...)

Coaches and Team Moms will be sending out more information on meeting times and location.

Peabody Tanners Youth Football and Cheer Program Parent / Legal Guardian Code of Conduct Agreement

As a parent / legal guardian of a child involved in the Peabody Tanners Youth Football and Cheer program, I agree to abide by and follow the rules of the guidelines below.

I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of the athletes ahead of any desire to win.

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players.

I will leave the coaching to the coaching staff. I will encourage my child to play in a manner consistent with the team’s strategy or plans. I will not undermine the coaches’ authority by trying to be a coach instead of a parent.

I will provide support for coaches and officials working with the athletes to provide a positive experience for all. I understand that coaching is a difficult endeavor, and I will always give coaches the benefit of the doubt and treat them with respect.

I will never ridicule or yell at my child for making a mistake or losing a game. I understand that making mistakes is a key part of learning.

I will remember that children learn by example. I will applaud good plays by both my child’s team and their opponents. I will not be critical of, or embarrass any player, including opposing players.

I will treat all players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators with dignity and respect in language, attitude, behavior and mannerisms. I understand that my behavior reflects on my child and on the Tanners Youth program, and I will require the same of my child.

I will not question the official’s judgment or honesty in public. I recognize that officials are being developed in the same manner as players.

I will never yell, taunt, threaten or inflict physical violence upon any player, coach, official or spectator at any youth football/cheer activity. I will refrain from the use of abusive or vulgar language, racial, ethnic or gender-related slurs at any time at the field or any youth function. I will support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from youth football games.

I understand that I am agreeing to support and promote this Parent / Legal Guardian Code of Conduct Agreement. Further, my failure to comply with this agreement or my participation in any of the defined CONDUCT SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINE will result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the Peabody Tanners Youth  Football  and Cheer Program.
